Version 2.3.png

Come and share your love of sewing with us!

Ever dream of being part of a nurturing sewing community where kind friends offer new ideas, try to answer those niggling questions that come up in a project, offer an extra hand to pin just the right place, share style inspiration or fashion knowledge not everyone has, and extend good jokes that keep everyone in stitches? Ever wish for a larger safe space to sew at any time of day, for your personal use or your commercial ventures? A place to use specialty machines you don’t use regularly and won’t purchase or just a peaceful place to do hand work? A place with secure storage, and a place where you were not responsible for the extensive clean up? A place you can get away to do your work in peace or a place where you can leave your work behind?

Now you can have all that and more! Sisters, Ruth Rios Atkinson and Renee Rios Weber have established a Shared Studio Space and Cozy Community for folks with at least basic sewing knowledge and prior fiber arts experience, as well as fashion designers and cottage businesses to explore their passion. There’s no need to ever cut your fabric on the floor or clutter your kitchen table with machines again. We have the space and equipment you need! Take a look at our video below!

We offer annual memberships or daily rental of your own work space, that will give you access to specialty machines as well as provide friendly shared space with women of similar interests and a myriad of abilities. We especially wish to encourage those interested in Historical Garments, Costumes, Home Goods and Natural Fibers Art. We are a textiles studio for any sewing and fiber arts techniques.

Use Our Machines or yours

Bring your own machines for your own use or we offer sewing machines, sergers, an embroidery/monogram machine for you to use as they are available. We have a 5’x10’ cutting table, ironing boards and steamers as well body forms and a full size fitting mirror. We have also set up a charming sitting area for you to comfortably hand stitch, embroider, do lace work, or whatever you chose, while chatting and sipping tea, coffee, wine or whatever you like. Secure personal storage is guaranteed at all times.

Before using any of our equipment, member sewing abilities and skills will be reviewed by our knowledgeable staff. Every day, “Somewhat Experienced Staff”, is available during certain studio hours to help. We also offer sewing classes so please refer to our event page for dates and times.

Fun events for the whole community

We have monthly events that we post on our events page and FB, open to the whole community. We have fun and easy, See, Sew and Sip Activities as well as Demonstrations from various local fiber artists.

You can also host parties at our studio for your own Community Group, Church Group, Birthday, Graduation, Girl’s Night Out, Retirement Celebrations, Wedding & Baby Showers, even Work Parties and Fundraisers! No sewing ability required at all! We promise. Everyone goes home with a beautiful piece of art of their own making!

We also have ongoing sewing classes for beginners as well as those who would like to learn a new technique. If you have something special you would like to learn please let us know!
